Villa Alizée B&B Overview
First Impressions
You know what struck me first about Villa Alizée B&B? It’s tucked away on this quiet little chemin in Gassin, but you’re still technically in Saint-Tropez — which honestly feels like getting the best of both worlds. The villa has this charming Provençal feel that’s way more intimate than your typical four-star hotel. I mean, when you pull up and see the traditional stone facade surrounded by Mediterranean gardens, you immediately get why couples rate this place so highly for romantic getaways.
The Perfect Perch
Here’s the thing about the location — Gassin sits on this hillside overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, so you’re getting those postcard views without dealing with the madness down in the port. It’s maybe a ten-minute drive to the famous beaches like Pampelonne, but you can actually sleep at night without hearing party boats until dawn. The property sits in what’s apparently the top-rated area according to guest scores, and honestly, I can see why. You’ve got that peaceful village vibe, but Saint-Tropez’s restaurants and nightlife are close enough when you want them.
Your Home Base
The room I stayed in had this lovely blend of traditional Provençal style with modern touches — think exposed beams, soft linens, and a bathroom that actually had decent water pressure (you’d be surprised how rare that is in some French B&Bs). What I really appreciated was the attention to detail — fresh flowers, local soaps, and windows that opened wide to let in that pine-scented breeze. The beds are comfortable enough that you’ll want to linger with your morning coffee, especially if you snag one of the rooms with a terrace.
Practical Perks
One thing that’ll save you some headaches — there’s free parking right on site, which is honestly a godsend in this part of France where finding a spot can cost you €30 a day. The hosts run a proper breakfast service (this is a B&B after all), and while I wouldn’t call it elaborate, the local pastries and fresh fruit hit the spot before heading out to explore. They’re also pretty good about giving recommendations for beaches and restaurants that aren’t total tourist traps.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Villa Alizée isn’t trying to be the flashiest place on the Riviera, and that’s exactly what makes it work. Couples especially seem to love how it strikes that balance between being close to Saint-Tropez’s action while offering a genuine retreat feel. The fact that it consistently scores well on location tells you something — this isn’t just about proximity, it’s about finding that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing the real Provence. If you want to wake up to olive groves and lavender instead of cruise ship horns, but still be able to hit Nikki Beach for lunch, this place gets it right.
To book a hotel in Saint-Tropez during the famous summer yacht season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts celebrities and luxury travelers from around the world.

The owner doesn't speak english and you need to use google translate to be able to communicate (unless you speak french), she is really nice, but gets a little frustrated by the language barrier. Please be patient 🙂Good – Jed from United Kingdom – 18 September 2023 (7/10)
Good location walking distance from the harbour. V. clean. Nice pool and grounds.
What could be improved: Breakfast was pretty basic, host was a little gruff on arrival as we changed the arrival time by 15minutes (traffic) and she gave my wife the rubbish from our room bin to put in the street bin as we were checking out!Very relaxed, easy and pleasant I would love to stay again for more than one night. – Kerry from Australia – 8 July 2023 (9/10)
