Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Saint-Tropez Golf Residences on Route du Golf, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name sounds a bit corporate, you know? But actually stepping out of the car, you immediately get why this place has that 8.6 rating. It’s tucked away from the Saint-Tropez madness (which, if you’ve been there in July, you’ll understand is a blessing), and the first thing that hits you is how quiet it is. I mean, you can actually hear birds instead of Lamborghinis revving.

The whole setup is pretty smart – they’ve built these residences around the golf course, so even if you’re not into golf (like me, honestly), you get these ridiculously green views that somehow make the Côte d’Azur feel less… frantic. The rooms themselves have this laid-back luxury thing going on – not trying too hard to impress, but everything just works. Good wifi, which matters more than people admit, and the kind of beds where you actually sleep through the night instead of tossing around thinking about your flight home. What really got me was the little balcony situation – most places give you these tiny things where you can barely fit a chair, but here you can actually spread out with coffee and pretend you live in the South of France. The staff knows their stuff too, particularly about getting around without getting stuck in that nightmare traffic toward the port. They’ll tell you the back routes to Pampelonne Beach that save you like 30 minutes, which during peak season is basically priceless.

You know what surprised me most? How easy everything felt. Check-in was smooth – no standing around for ages while they “find your reservation” – and parking isn’t the usual Saint-Tropez horror show where you’re circling for an hour. The whole vibe is more “comfortable base camp” than “look-at-me resort,” which honestly works better when you’re dealing with the intensity of this area. Sure, it’s not right in the heart of Saint-Tropez village, but that’s actually the point. You get the best of both worlds – close enough to hit Place des Lices for the Tuesday market or grab dinner at one of those impossibly expensive but worth-it restaurants, but far enough away that you can decompress without helicopters landing next door at 2 AM. The 4-star rating feels right – it’s not trying to be palatial, just really well done. If you’re the type who needs to be stumbling-distance from Club 55, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to experience this corner of France without feeling like you’re trapped in a scene from a reality show, it actually makes perfect sense.

Reviews

  • Lovely place! – Cassar from Malta – 24 July 2025 (10/10)

I loved our little home. It was so spacious and perfect for a group of friends. We even had our own little terrace and the pool was so close to our house. Taxis were also super convenient and picked us up from exactly outside our door. The area is a gated community with security guards 24/7 and therefore, you feel very safe.

What could be improved: The only thing that I would change is having a housekeeper come to the premises. Throughout our 3 days stay, no housekeeper came over to clean and/or provide fresh towels. Therefore, if you had to book this accommodation for a lengthier duration, it would end up being a bit of a problem because you have to end up cleaning and doing your own laundry.

  • We had a great time! The resort is beautiful, well maintained and peaceful, and the service great. – Maria from Spain – 1 September 2024 (8/10)

We didn’t have breakfast at the restaurant. The location is good and it is easy to get around the area, but you need a car.

What could be improved: The air conditioning broke down during our stay, and they couldn’t fix it before we left. We were given ventilators, but the bedrooms were still quite hot.

  • Very relaxed stay. Beautiful garden and view. Loved the house – Tracey from United Kingdom – 3 July 2024 (9/10)

Beautifully furnished and garden beautiful with amazing views

What could be improved: En-suite didn’t have toilet. So first floor three bedrooms to one toilet. There were two other toilets in property. A fair walk to swimming pool

  • Exceptional – Chin from United States – 3 July 2024 (10/10)

    Everything was good.

What could be improved: No shower handle hanger.

  • Memorable. Go to Ramatuelle, Gassin and Plage D’Escalet – Catherine from Ireland – 25 June 2023 (8/10)

The villages of Ramatuelle with beautiful breakfast and Gassin with wonderful dinner are close by. We only found them day 2 – they are beautiful. L’escalet plage just beautiful. Clemence a wonderful host. Very approachable.

What could be improved: It is isolated – you have to drive (not far) to get anywhere even bread but but beautiful surrounds. House lovely.

  • brilliant, great location and facilities – Benjamin from United Kingdom – 30 August 2022 (10/10)

everything about the property was excellent; special thanks to Clement who arranged everything, very efficient

What could be improved: no applicable

  • Amazing customer service. Clément is always available and very helpful. Villa is bery clean with a beautiful view. The m – Anoushiravan from United Kingdom – 31 July 2022 (10/10)

    everything

What could be improved: nothing to dislike

  • Superb – Yekaterina from Israel – 4 August 2024 (9/10)

The place is amazing and located very close to the city center. It is very convenient for family with kids. For the group of friends it can also work but it's better to check in advance the number of the rooms and of the showers. We had a 2 floor villa where all the rooms were located upstairs and the living room with the kitchen was downstairs.
The kitchen was equipped, and it was very helpful for the small snacks and morning coffee. There was no daily cleaning and if you need you have to arrange it when you arrive. The stuff was very helpful when we needed it, and in general, I would recommend this place and would stay here on my next trip.

  • Very good – Dennis from Switzerland – 27 June 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: The shower head didn't fit the fixtures on the wall, so you need to hold the head in one hand while you shower – minor detail but I hate it.

  • Very enjoyable would go again – Frances from United Kingdom – 21 September 2023 (7/10)

Good facility’s on site , clean , and not far from centre of saint tropez or the train station and safe

What could be improved: Could do with some air conditioning downstairs and a few more bits in the kitchen bigger glasses more knives forks and cups 4 was enough at each meal but meant we needed to load dishwasher each time
