Honestly, when I first walked up to this place on Rue des Feniers, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the street’s pretty narrow and you know how Saint-Tropez addresses can be tricky to find. But once you’re inside this little two-bedroom flat, it hits you that you’re actually in the thick of everything that makes St. Tropez special. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from Place des Lices where the locals play pétanque under those massive plane trees, and maybe five minutes from the old port if you don’t get distracted by all the tiny boutiques along the way.

The flat itself feels lived-in rather than sterile – which I actually prefer when I’m traveling. The kitchen’s small but functional (you’ll want to hit the morning market on Place aux Herbes for fresh stuff), and the bedrooms are sized exactly like you’d expect in the historic center. What surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re right in the hyper centre. Sure, during peak summer season you’ll hear some nightlife spilling over from the port area, but honestly, that’s part of the St. Tropez experience. The building’s got that old Provençal charm – thick walls, shutters that actually work, tile floors that stay cool even when it’s blazing outside.

The location really is the star here though. You can walk to Sénéquier for your morning coffee (tourist trap prices but the people-watching is unbeatable), then wander over to the Citadelle when you need a break from the scene, or just post up at one of the café terraces on Rue Gambetta and watch the whole St. Tropez parade unfold. Parking’s going to be your biggest headache – there’s nothing included and street parking in this area is basically mythical during summer. Your best bet is probably the Port parking lot, but that fills up fast and costs a fortune. The 7.8 rating feels about right to me; it’s not luxury but it’s authentic and the location absolutely can’t be beat for the price point. If you’re the type who wants to experience St. Tropez like you actually live there for a few days – shopping at the local boulangerie, taking evening strolls when the day-trippers have left – this place puts you right where you need to be.

  What could be improved: When i reached the property, the apartment was not cleaned and was dirty. The cleaners came at 3 pm and insisted that the check in was at 4pm although it clearly stats on my booking thats the check in is at 3pm. Make sure to arrive after 4pm if you want to book this place.
