You know what caught me off guard about MarinesAppartement? The duplex setup actually works really well – I mean, when you first pull up on Avenue de la plage, it looks like just another beachside building, but once you’re inside, there’s this surprising sense of space that most Saint-Tropez accommodations definitely don’t have. The place sits right in Les Marines de Cogolin, which honestly is one of those spots that feels like a local secret even though it’s technically part of the whole Saint-Tropez circus. You’re close enough to hit the famous beaches (Port Grimaud is literally a ten-minute walk), but you’re not dealing with the insane crowds that camp out right in Saint-Tropez proper.

The duplex thing means you’ve got actual room to spread out – downstairs for hanging out, upstairs for sleeping, and it doesn’t feel like you’re living in a hotel box. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, especially compared to staying right in the old town where you’ve got people wandering around until 3 AM. The beach access is legit too; you can literally walk out and be on sand in about two minutes, which is pretty rare for anything reasonably priced in this area. I’ll be honest though – the furnishing is sort of basic, very much that practical French apartment vibe rather than anything fancy. But honestly, that works when you’re spending most of your time outside anyway. The kitchen setup is actually useful (not just decorative like some places), so you can grab stuff from the morning market in Cogolin and not blow your entire budget eating out every meal.

Here’s the thing about this spot – it’s not trying to be the Riviera fantasy with marble everything and champagne service, but it gives you a real base to actually experience this part of the coast without the tourist markup. The 3-star rating is pretty accurate; it’s comfortable and clean and does what it needs to do. During high season (July and August, obviously), you’ll still hear some activity from other visitors, but nothing crazy. Parking can get a bit tight – there’s space but you might be doing some creative maneuvering during busy weekends. The location really shines if you want to explore beyond just Saint-Tropez itself; you’re perfectly positioned to check out the quieter beaches toward Sainte-Maxime or even take day trips to some of the inland villages that most tourists completely skip. I’d definitely recommend it if you want that Côte d’Azur experience but prefer having your own space over hotel service – just don’t expect luxury touches, because that’s not what you’re paying for here.
