Hotel Description
Honestly, when I first saw the name “MarinesAppartement” I wasn’t sure what to expect – it sounds a bit formal for Saint-Tropez, right? But you know what, this place actually nailed the whole “best of both worlds” thing that’s so hard to find here. You’re literally two minutes from the beach (and I mean literally, not in that exaggerated booking site way), but more importantly, you’ve got direct access to the port area. That means you can wander down to watch the yachts come in without fighting through the usual tourist crowds on the main drags.
The location on Rue de la plage is pretty sweet – it’s one of those narrow streets that feels authentically French without being too tucked away. I mean, you’re still in Saint-Tropez so nothing’s exactly quiet, but this spot manages to feel more residential than the chaos around Place des Lices. The apartment itself is solid for a 3-star – nothing fancy, but everything works and it’s actually clean (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in some of these older buildings). What I really appreciated was how the layout felt thought-out, not like someone just crammed furniture into a space. The kitchen’s small but functional if you want to grab stuff from the morning market and avoid those €30 hotel breakfasts.
Here’s the thing though – and this is where local knowledge really matters – the quai de la galiote access is gold during high season. While everyone else is circling around looking for parking or trying to navigate the pedestrian areas with their luggage, you can actually get close to your accommodation. I stayed in July (I know, I know, rookie mistake timing-wise) but even then, the morning walks to grab coffee felt manageable. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it delivers on its promises. The port access alone saves you so much hassle, especially if you’re planning any boat trips or just want to people-watch without committing to the full Café de Paris scene. Plus, and this might sound weird, but I loved hearing the harbor sounds in the morning instead of just traffic. It actually felt like being in a Mediterranean port town instead of just another beach resort.
Visitors often choose Saint-Tropez apartments over traditional hotels because they provide more space, kitchen facilities, and the opportunity to live like a local in this magnificent French Riviera destination.

Le café et le lit bien que le drap de dessous était tâché à la javel ! Un peu inquiétant.
