Honestly, the location is pretty much perfect if you want to experience authentic Saint-Tropez without staying in some massive resort outside town. You’re a two-minute walk to Place des Lices where the locals play pétanque under the plane trees, and about the same distance to the famous port where all those superyachts dock. What really surprised me though was the free parking — and trust me, that’s gold in Saint-Tropez where finding a spot usually costs more than dinner. The hotel’s position on Rue Miséricorde means you can actually walk everywhere, which is crucial since driving around the old town is basically impossible during peak season.

The rooms have that refined Provençal charm you’d hope for — think soft linens, warm wood tones, and just enough local character without going overboard on the rustic theme. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the bathrooms and the fact that the air conditioning actually works well (not always a given in these historic buildings). The windows open onto either the quiet impasse or glimpses of the surrounding rooftops, and there’s something really peaceful about falling asleep to the distant sounds of the old town settling in for the night.

Exploring the Neighborhood

What I love about staying at Maison Saint Tropez is how it puts you right in the middle of the real Saint-Tropez rhythm. In the morning, you can grab coffee at one of the local spots before the day-trippers arrive, then spend your afternoon people-watching from a harbor-side table. The evening aperitif scene around Place des Lices is just a short stroll away — that’s where you’ll find locals mixing with visitors who actually know the town. You’re also perfectly positioned for those early morning or late evening walks when the famous beaches like Pampelonne are just a quick drive away, but you get to return to the authentic old town atmosphere.

  huge huge pleasure we had by staying in this flat! it’s unique, well designed and REALLY fresh renovated, which is rare for the old towns. everything is new, the bed was very comfortable and good quality, kitchen was super equipped with everything that you need and even more. every detail in this flat was made for your convenience. The location is simply the best, right in the middle of everything, 1 min walk from Cedrick Grolet cafe, which is adorable)
  There are a lot of stairs in the apartament – not everyone will like it, but we found it authentic)
  So lovely, so nice, so beautiful, I’m sure I’d we’ll come back we will stay there again.
