Hotel Description
You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Saint-Tropez over the years, and Maison Bellevue honestly caught me off guard in the best way possible. It’s tucked away on Rue du Cepoun San Martin – which, if you’re not familiar with the area, is this quiet residential street that’s maybe a seven-minute walk from Place des Lices (where the famous market happens twice a week). The thing is, most people get so caught up in staying right on the port that they miss gems like this. When I first walked up, I actually thought I had the wrong address because it feels more like someone’s really elegant private home than a hotel. The entrance is understated in that effortlessly chic French way – no flashy signs or doormen, just beautiful stonework and these gorgeous blue shutters that somehow look both weathered and perfectly maintained.
The rooms – and I mean this – are what four-star should actually feel like. Everything’s been thought through, from the way the morning light filters through those shutters to the fact that the air conditioning actually works properly (which, honestly, isn’t always a given in these older Saint-Tropez buildings). I loved the little details that you don’t expect: really good water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and – this might sound weird – but the hangers in the closet were the wooden kind that don’t leave marks on your clothes. The decor walks this perfect line between traditional Provençal charm and modern comfort. Think whitewashed walls, beautiful tile work, but with contemporary furniture that’s actually comfortable to sit in. My room overlooked this tiny courtyard garden where they serve breakfast, and in the evenings you could hear the gentle sound of the fountain mixed with distant laughter from the cafés down the hill.
What really sets this place apart though is the staff – they clearly know Saint-Tropez inside and out. The woman at reception (I think her name was Marie?) gave me directions to this little beach club that locals go to, completely off the tourist radar. She also warned me that if I was planning to drive to the old town on Saturday morning, I should leave by 9 AM or forget about finding parking until after 2 PM. That’s the kind of local insight you just don’t get at the big chain places. The location works perfectly if you want to be close enough to walk to everything but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the crowds and noise of the main tourist areas. Even in peak season – I was there in late July – the street stays relatively quiet at night. It’s about a fifteen-minute stroll down to the harbor, but it’s a lovely walk through actual neighborhoods where people live. I’d definitely go back, and that 9.4 rating? Yeah, that tracks. It’s one of those places that just gets the balance right between luxury and authenticity.

Gorgeous Apartments. We stayed on 1st floor and 3rd floor (lots of steps so pack lightly). The view and the location was perfect for a group of ten women. The windows overlook the port with great sunsets. Marine, the woman who greeted us when we arrived, was incredible. She was so helpful and made herself available via text anytime we needed anything. Walking distance to local market (Tuesday and Saturday), great shopping and lots of reasonably priced restaurants. An added bonus was the festival of St Tropez which were weren't expecting, fascinating watching the locals in uniform, with music, marching and loud guns and cannons until late into the evening!

Location was amazing and Max the concierge so helpful. Really spacious apartment for our family of 4. Restaurants right in front and the Italian underneath was amazing. Apartment was really sound proof too so don’t be concerned that it will be noisey.
