You know what? I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Saint-Tropez over the years, and this little studio at Résidence du Port honestly caught me off guard. I mean, when you see “Magnifique Studio” you sort of expect typical vacation rental hyperbole, but walking into apartment 59 in Building B – it actually lives up to the name. The space feels way more spacious than you’d think for a studio, and there’s this nice light that comes through in the afternoon that makes everything feel warm and lived-in rather than sterile.

The location is what really makes this place special though. Place Alphonse Celli isn’t one of those touristy spots everyone talks about, but honestly that’s exactly why it works. You’re maybe a three-minute walk to the old port where all the ridiculous yachts dock (and trust me, people-watching there never gets old), but you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the crowds stumbling back from the clubs at 3 AM. I actually slept really well here, which is saying something in Saint-Tropez during summer. The building itself is well-maintained – not fancy, but solid, and the other residents seem to be a mix of locals and longer-term visitors rather than party tourists, if you know what I mean.

What impressed me most was how thoughtfully everything was set up. The kitchenette has everything you actually need (not just the bare minimum), and there’s decent storage space which… look, if you’ve ever tried to live out of a suitcase in a tiny rental, you know how much that matters. The shower has proper water pressure – again, sounds small but it’s not when you’re rinsing off sand and sunscreen every day. Parking can be tricky in this part of town (it’s Saint-Tropez, what do you expect?), but there are spots nearby if you’re patient, and honestly you probably won’t need a car much once you’re settled in. The morning market on Place des Lices is an easy walk, and you can grab fresh bread and those amazing olives without dealing with tourist-trap pricing. The 9.3 rating makes total sense to me – this isn’t luxury in the traditional sense, but it’s exactly what you want from a Saint-Tropez base: authentic, comfortable, and positioned so you can actually experience the town rather than just visit it.

Visitors often choose Saint-Tropez apartments over traditional hotels because they provide more space, kitchen facilities, and the opportunity to live like a local in this magnificent French Riviera destination.

  Great location for being extremely central however if your focus is mainly sleep then this might not be the one for you as it’s right in the heart of St Tropez and close to all the bars and clubs.

  The location is absolutely stunning, with a window view on and just a 1 minute walk away from the marina! Amandine was super responsive and welcoming before and during my stay! The apartment itself is nicely furnished and was impeccably clean.
