You know what struck me first about Magnifique Appartement – M3? It’s not actually in the crazy touristy heart of Saint-Tropez where you can’t even walk down the street in July without getting stuck behind someone taking selfies. The Residence Saint Antoine sits on Avenue Général Leclerc, which honestly is perfect because you’re close enough to everything but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night without hearing drunk people stumbling back from Club 55 at 3am.

The apartment itself is solidly comfortable – I mean, it’s a 3-star place so don’t expect marble everything, but it’s genuinely well put together. What I really appreciated was how clean and functional everything felt. The kitchen actually has proper cookware (not those flimsy tourist apartment pans that can barely heat water), which matters if you’re planning to grab some of those incredible tomatoes from the morning market near Place des Lices. Speaking of the market – it’s maybe a 15-minute walk from here, totally doable, and you’ll pass some lovely local spots that most visitors never see because they’re too busy fighting for parking near the port. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a rental, if that makes sense.

Here’s the thing about this location that took me a day to really appreciate – you’re positioned perfectly to avoid the worst Saint-Tropez traffic nonsense. Anyone who’s tried to drive into the old town during peak season knows it’s basically a nightmare, but from Residence Saint Antoine you can walk to most places you’d want to go, or it’s a quick bike ride (there’s decent bike storage, by the way). The beach at Pampelonne is still a bit of a trek, sure, but honestly the local buses aren’t terrible and parking down there costs more than most people spend on dinner anyway. What really won me over was coming back in the early evening – the residence has this quiet, residential feel where you can sit outside with a glass of wine and actually hear birds instead of motor scooters. The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me because while it’s not luxury luxury, everything works exactly like it should, the location is smarter than most tourists realize, and you’re getting genuine value in a place where value is pretty hard to find. It’s the kind of spot where you end up staying longer than planned because it just feels right.

  la localisation était parfaite proche des commerces pour acheter de quoi manger et boire et proche du cœur de st TROPEZ, le parking parfait aussi, l'appartement très spacieux, clair avec de grandes chambres.
  j'ai beaucoup aimé cet appartement, les hôtes ont été souples quant à l'heure de départ car arrivée 16.00 départ 11.00 le lendemain c'est un peu juste.
  l'appartement est parfait pour 2 couples car chambres à l'opposées l'une de l'autre et il y a en plus un grand canapé lit.
  
  What could be improved: situé au 1er étage sans ascenseur mais une chambre coté rue donc un peu de bruit, pas de balcon, la douche de la salle de bain un peu de moisissure, et pas beaucoup de vaisselle, pas de mug pas de théière pas de verre à pied au pays du rosé c'est un peu dommage. 😉
