When I first pulled up to L’escapade, tucked away in the Résidence les Lisières development, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. The name suggests a romantic getaway, and you know what — they’re not wrong. This four-star property sits just outside the main hustle of Saint-Tropez, which actually works in its favor. You get that coveted Saint-Tropez address without feeling like you’re camping out in a tourist zoo.

The Perfect Hideaway Location

Here’s the thing about staying in les Lisières — you’re close enough to walk into town when you want that quintessential Saint-Tropez experience, but far enough away that you can actually hear yourself think. I mean, after a day of navigating the crowds around the old port and those impossibly chic boutiques, coming back to this quieter residential area feels like a relief. The parking situation alone makes it worth it — try finding a spot in central Saint-Tropez during summer and you’ll understand why having your own dedicated space is basically priceless.

The Accommodation Experience

My room had this understated elegance that I really appreciated. Nothing too flashy or trying too hard — just clean lines, quality furnishings, and those little touches that show someone actually thought about what guests need. The bathroom was particularly well done, with good water pressure (always a concern in older French buildings) and plenty of space to spread out your things. What struck me most was how quiet everything was, especially considering how close you are to one of the Riviera’s busiest destinations.

Dining and Amenities

The on-site restaurant surprised me in the best way possible. I’d expected something fairly standard, but the chef clearly knows their way around both local Provençal ingredients and more contemporary techniques. The breakfast spread was particularly impressive — fresh pastries, local cheeses, and coffee that actually tasted like coffee rather than the weak stuff you sometimes get at hotels. There’s also a lovely spa area where you can unwind after those long beach days or shopping marathons in town.

Why Guests Love It

Look, I get why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something inherently romantic about the whole setup. Maybe it’s the way the property feels like your own private retreat, or how you can slip away from the Saint-Tropez madness whenever you need a breather. The staff seems to understand this too; they’re attentive without being intrusive, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to reconnect with someone special. Plus, having reliable parking means you can easily explore the wider region — those hilltop villages inland are absolutely worth the drive, and you’ll actually have somewhere to put your car when you get back.
