Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to Les Orangers by Sezz on Boulevard des Orangers – the street’s tucked away just enough that you feel like you’ve discovered something most tourists miss, but you’re still only a few minutes’ walk from all the Saint-Tropez madness. The building itself has this understated elegance thing going on, which is actually refreshing when you consider how over-the-top some places can get in this town.

What struck me right away was how they’ve managed to capture that authentic Côte d’Azur vibe without feeling like a theme park version of it. The scent of actual orange trees hits you the moment you step out of your car (and yes, there’s parking, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Saint-Tropez in summer will appreciate). The lobby feels more like walking into a sophisticated friend’s home than a hotel – there’s this warm, lived-in quality with beautiful local artwork and furniture that looks expensive but not untouchable. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too, none of that pretentious attitude you sometimes get at boutique places.

I mean, with a 9.7 rating, you’d expect something special, but the details here really deliver on that promise. The rooms have this perfect balance of modern comfort and Provençal charm – think crisp white linens, but with shutters that actually work and views that make you want to linger over morning coffee. You know what I loved? The bathrooms have these gorgeous local stone finishes, and the toiletries smell like they were made in some artisan workshop in Grasse (which they probably were). The whole place stays relatively quiet even during peak season, partly because it’s small enough that it never feels crowded, and partly because the location on Boulevard des Orangers keeps you just off the main tourist circuit.

What really sets Les Orangers apart is how it connects you to the real Saint-Tropez experience. You’re close enough to walk to Place des Lices for the Tuesday and Saturday markets – seriously, get the local cheese and olives – but far enough from the port that you won’t be dealing with the yacht crowd noise until 3 AM. The staff actually knows the area and can point you toward that little bakery on Rue Gambetta that locals go to, or tell you the best times to hit the beach before it gets crazy. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in Saint-Tropez rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense. Sure, it’s not cheap, but honestly, for a 4-star property with this level of attention to detail and that rating, you’re getting solid value in a destination where mediocre hotels charge premium prices just for the address.

    El departamento es muy lindo! Nuevo, amplio, luminoso, muy limpio. Super cómodo para tres parejas, con tres cuartos en suite y cocina totalmente equipada. Está ubicado a pocas cuadras caminando del centro de St. Tropez. Con cochera cerrada para los autos. El acceso fue muy sencillo con las instrucciones que nos dieron. Linda estuvo atenta a nuestras necesidades todo el tiempo y nos trajo un desayuno riquísimo todos los dias. Volveria sin pensarlo!!
