Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Le ST Tropez? It’s tucked away on the second floor of this classic building on Rue Gambetta, and honestly, walking up those stairs feels like you’re about to discover some well-kept secret. The street itself is actually perfect – close enough to the port that you can hear the yacht lines clinking in the evening breeze, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with crowds stumbling past your window at 2 AM.
The thing about Saint-Tropez is that everyone expects glitz and glamour, but this place gets the balance right. It’s got that 4-star polish without trying too hard to impress – the kind of spot where you can imagine French families actually staying, not just Instagram influencers. The rooms have this lived-in elegance, if that makes sense. Real wooden shutters that you’ll actually want to open in the morning (trust me on this), and the kind of bathrooms where someone clearly thought about where you’d actually put your toiletries. I mean, it’s the little things, right? The location is what really sells it though. Rue Gambetta runs right through the heart of the old town, so you’re literally a three-minute walk from Place des Lices where the locals play pétanque on Tuesday evenings – which, by the way, is worth watching with a glass of rosé from one of the café terraces. The famous port with all those mega-yachts? Maybe five minutes if you’re taking your time and stopping to peek into the boutiques.
What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually know Saint-Tropez, not just the tourist version. They pointed me toward this tiny bakery on a side street that I never would have found otherwise, and when I mentioned wanting to avoid the beach crowds, they suggested hitting Plage de la Bouillabaisse early morning instead of the obvious spots everyone talks about. That 8.8 rating makes total sense when you stay here – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything just works. The WiFi actually works (shocking, I know, but not always a given in these old buildings), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and somehow they’ve managed to keep the place cool during those brutal August afternoons when the rest of Saint-Tropez feels like an oven. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare you’d expect – they’ve got arrangements with a nearby garage, which honestly saves you from circling the narrow streets for an hour looking for a spot.
Apartments in Saint-Tropez provide travelers with an authentic local experience, allowing them to shop at traditional Provençal markets and cook with fresh ingredients from the renowned French Mediterranean culinary traditions.

Location is sensational in the heart of St Tropez but yet as quiet as a mouse. Admittedly my stay was in mid- October, so no longer high season, but there was little to no street noise and St Tropez was very busy. The property is so well-equipped, clean, light and airy. Séverine was there to hand over the keys which is always nicer than a key- code box.An unexpected pleasure to find this little jewel.
