The location is pretty clever, actually. You’re close enough to Place des Lices that you can walk over for the Tuesday and Saturday markets without breaking a sweat – I’m talking maybe five minutes if you stroll slowly. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: being on Joseph Quaranta means you’re tucked away from the main tourist chaos while still being in the thick of things. The street’s quiet enough that you won’t have drunk party-goers stumbling past your window at 3 AM (trust me, that matters in Saint-Tropez), but you can still hear the gentle hum of the town during the day. It’s sort of the sweet spot between being isolated and being overwhelmed.

What really won me over was how the place feels authentically local rather than touristy – you know how some rentals feel like they were decorated by someone who’s never actually been to the place? This isn’t that. The veranda overlooks typical Provençal architecture, and honestly, sitting out there in the evening with a glass of rosé from one of the local caves feels exactly like what you came to the French Riviera for. The apartment itself is comfortable without being fancy – I mean, it’s a solid three-star setup, nothing more, nothing less. The kitchen actually works (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), and there’s enough space to spread out if you’re staying more than a couple nights.

Parking can be a bit of a puzzle, like everywhere in Saint-Tropez, but the host gives you decent guidance on where to find spots that won’t cost you a fortune. During peak season – July and August, basically – you’ll want to get back before evening if you plan to drive anywhere, because finding parking later becomes a proper nightmare. Walking is really your friend here anyway; the port is maybe fifteen minutes on foot, and the path takes you through some of the prettier residential streets where you’ll see how locals actually live.

The 9.1 rating makes sense to me. It’s not luxury – don’t expect a concierge or fancy toiletries – but it’s exactly what it promises to be. The veranda alone probably bumps it up half a point; there’s something about having your own outdoor space in a town where every café table costs a premium that feels genuinely valuable. If you’re looking for that authentic Saint-Tropez experience without paying resort prices or dealing with hotel crowds, this little apartment delivers. Just don’t expect it to change your life – it’s simply a really nice place to stay while you explore one of the most charming (and expensive) towns on the Côte d’Azur.
