You know what hit me first about this place? The address. Avenue Foch isn’t some touristy street – it’s actually tucked away from the main Saint-Tropez chaos, which honestly makes all the difference when you’re trying to sleep past the yacht crowd’s 3 AM return from Club 55. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to the port (maybe 8 minutes if you don’t get distracted by the boutiques), but far enough that you won’t hear every Lamborghini revving down Rue Gambetta at dawn.

The apartment itself feels more like staying at a well-connected friend’s place than a typical hotel setup. The 5-star rating isn’t just about thread count here – though the linens are pretty fantastic. It’s the small stuff that gets you, like how they actually stock the kitchen with decent coffee (not those terrible pods), and there’s proper glassware if you want to grab a bottle from the Cave du Roy down the street. The living space flows really well too, with these floor-to-ceiling windows that let in all that Mediterranean light without making the place feel like a fishbowl. I spent way too much time on that balcony area, especially around sunset when the whole town sort of glows golden and you can hear the rigging from the harbor boats clinking in the breeze.

What really sold me though was the neighborhood vibe. See, most people think Saint-Tropez is all about the beach clubs and see-and-be-seen spots, but this part of town – you’ll actually see locals doing their morning shopping, kids heading to school, that sort of real life that makes a place feel authentic. There’s this little bakery called La Tarte Tropézienne just two blocks over where the line moves fast because everyone knows exactly what they want, and honestly, their morning pastries beat anything you’ll get delivered to your room elsewhere. The 8.3 rating makes sense when you consider it’s not trying to be the flashiest option in town – it’s just really, really well done. Sure, parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak season (July and August are absolutely mental), but the property manager actually knows the neighborhood parking tricks, which saved me probably hours of circling around narrow streets behind increasingly frustrated German tourists. If you’re coming to Saint-Tropez and want to feel like you live here rather than just visiting, this is your spot.

  Good location, Bed comfortable when we eventually were given access to the apartment we had rented and paid for, a day later than arranged.
  
  What could be improved: We were given wrong address. It took us a long time walking around looking for building to match photo before we found correct address. There was no response to our calls to contact number for help. We were told we could collect keys at apartment but there was no one there to facilitate this. We were forced to find a hotel for the night. Next day we managed to locate the 'concierge' who was away. She returned to give us keys and let us in. We wrote to the Host requesting refund for night when 'concierge' was away and not answering calls when we had to stay in hotel. Host did not respond to our request. We were left with a very bad impression of the host and her arrangements, as well as being out of pocket for hotel and having one hell of a day when we arrived to start our holiday.

  Tout. L’emplacement idyllique à deux pas de place des lices pour accéder à la beauté de la ville de St Tropez. L’appartement était magnifique & fonctionnel. Charlotte a l’accueil est d’une gentillesse inouïe. Nous avons tout simplement adoré.

  What could be improved: Le réfrigérateur et le congélateur ne fonctionnaient pas ce qui est très compliqué en période estivale et avec un enfant de 4 ans.
  Le sauna et le hammam étaient également en panne depuis plusieurs mois sans en avoir été informé.
  
  Heureusement que nous n'avions qu'un court séjour sur Saint-Tropez. Nous n'y retournerons pas en tout cas.
