Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Escale Tropézienne? It’s actually tucked away on Rue Général Allard in a way that feels almost secretive – like you’ve discovered something the cruise ship crowds haven’t figured out yet. I mean, you’re still right in Saint-Tropez, but there’s this sense of being just removed enough from the absolute chaos of the port area during peak season.
The thing is, this isn’t your typical glitzy Riviera hotel trying to impress you with marble everything and gold fixtures. It’s more… honest, I guess? The kind of place where you can tell someone actually thought about what travelers need rather than what looks good in photos. The 2D designation refers to the specific apartment setup – and honestly, having that extra space makes such a difference when you’re staying more than just a night or two. You can actually spread out your stuff (and let’s be real, everyone overpacks for Saint-Tropez). The location really grows on you once you start walking around. You’re close enough to Place des Lices that you can grab coffee and pastries for breakfast without it being a whole expedition, but far enough from the main tourist strips that you can actually sleep at night. Trust me on this – I’ve stayed closer to the old port before, and between the party boats and late-night revelers, good luck getting rest. Here, the worst you’ll deal with is maybe some morning delivery trucks, which honestly feels refreshingly normal.
What really sells this place, though, is how it captures that authentic Saint-Tropez feeling without the pretension. You know how some places make you feel like you need to dress up just to walk through the lobby? This isn’t that. You can come back from a day at Pampelonne Beach with sandy feet and nobody’s giving you looks. The neighborhood has actual residents – you’ll see people walking their dogs, heading to the boulangerie, living their lives. It’s particularly nice in the shoulder seasons (late May or early September) when the town feels more like a real place and less like a theme park. I’d say the only real downside is parking – but honestly, that’s Saint-Tropez for you. You’re better off leaving the car somewhere outside town and walking anyway. The narrow streets weren’t exactly designed for today’s traffic situation.
Early hotels booking in Saint-Tropez is essential during major events like the Voiles de Saint-Tropez regatta, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned luxury lifestyle and pristine beaches.

Beautiful apartment!! – Marlena from United Kingdom – 15 May 2025 (10/10)
The property was really lovely, very clean and the design was even better than in the photos! We fell in love with the apartment. The location was also amazing, very central and close to the port, bus station, shops (and bakery!) etc. Julien was really helpful and accommodating when we had to shorten our trip and Edmond helped figure out somewhere for us to leave our bags which was a lifesaver. Generally there is not one bad thing I can say. I really recommend this apartment! Bonus that the view from the window is amazing!
In stile Saint Tropez! – Letizia from Italy – 19 May 2025 (10/10)
Appartamento appena ristrutturato, nuovo e arredato con gusto. Posizionato top! A 2 passi a piedi dal porto turistico e dal centro.
What could be improved: Bagno un po piccolo ma nell’appartamento c’è anche una piccola cucina e un piccolo divano quindi gli spazi sono ben suddivisi tutto sommato.Very good – Deflomas from Italy – 25 July 2025 (8/10)
