Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked down Rue du Clocher looking for Beau Clocher, I almost missed it entirely. It’s tucked into this narrow street that most tourists rush past on their way to the port, which is actually perfect because you get that authentic Saint-Tropez vibe without the circus. The building itself has this weathered charm that screams old Provence – you know, the kind of place where the shutters have seen decades of mistral winds and the stone walls have stories to tell.
What really got me about this place is how it manages to feel both intimate and polished at the same time. The rooms aren’t huge (I mean, we’re talking Saint-Tropez real estate here), but they’re thoughtfully designed with these lovely French touches – crisp linens that actually stay cool in the summer heat, and windows that open wide enough to catch the evening breeze. The staff genuinely seems to care, which is refreshing in a town where some places treat you like just another wallet with legs. They helped me figure out the best times to hit Place des Lices for the market (Tuesday and Saturday mornings, but get there early), and honestly, their local recommendations were spot-on.
Here’s the thing that really sold me on Beau Clocher – it’s positioned perfectly for people who want to experience Saint-Tropez rather than just Instagram it. You’re a five-minute walk from all the action at the Vieux Port, but when you retreat back to Rue du Clocher in the evening, the noise drops to just the distant hum of café conversations and maybe some jazz drifting from a nearby bistro. Parking can be tricky (welcome to Saint-Tropez), but the hotel staff knows all the tricks and will point you toward the best spots. I ended up leaving my car and just walking everywhere anyway – the cobblestone streets are half the charm. The 9.3 rating makes total sense when you stay here; it’s one of those places that gets the fundamentals absolutely right without trying to be something it’s not. Three stars on paper, but the kind of experience that reminds you why star ratings don’t tell the whole story.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Saint-Tropez at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous glamorous events and beach parties.

I recently stayed at the Beau Clocher Hotel and had an outstanding experience. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the city center, making it incredibly convenient for exploring all the major attractions. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep after a day of sightseeing.
The hotel itself was impeccably clean, which I greatly appreciated. It was also wonderfully quiet and felt very safe, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.
A special mention goes to Celeste, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Her assistance made our visit even more enjoyable, and I want to extend a big thank you to her for her exceptional service.
Overall, I highly recommend Beau Clocher Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in the city.
I hope this meets your needs!
