I mean, Chemin des Amoureux translates to “Lovers’ Lane,” and when you’re walking down this quiet residential street in the morning with your coffee, you sort of understand why they named it that.

The Résidence Héraclée itself is this unassuming building that you’d probably walk past without noticing, which is actually perfect because you’re literally a ten-minute stroll from all the Port Vieux madness but without any of the tourist chaos. The garden – and this is the real gem here – isn’t just some tiny patio situation. It’s an actual space where you can spread out, maybe read a book under the olive trees, or have breakfast without hearing scooters buzzing by every two seconds. I spent way more time out there than I expected, especially in the early evenings when the light gets all golden and you can hear the church bells from the old town. The apartment itself feels properly lived-in (in a good way), not like one of those sterile vacation rentals where you’re afraid to touch anything. Three stars might seem modest, but honestly? Sometimes you don’t need marble countertops and a concierge – you just need a place that feels real.

What I really appreciated was how the location works in practice, not just on paper. You’re close enough to walk to Place des Lices for the Tuesday and Saturday markets – and trust me, you want to hit that market early before the cruise ship crowds descend. But you’re also positioned where you can easily escape to some of the quieter beaches like Plage de la Bouillabaisse if the main strips get too insane. Parking was actually manageable too, which if you’ve ever tried to drive in Saint-Tropez during summer, you know that’s basically a miracle. The whole setup just works – it’s like staying in someone’s well-loved family place rather than a hotel room, and that 9-rating makes total sense once you settle in for a few days. Sure, it’s not fancy in the Instagram-perfect way, but it gives you something better: it lets you live like you actually belong in Saint-Tropez instead of just visiting it.
