You know what surprised me about this little apartment on Rue Joseph Quaranta? It’s actually tucked away in one of those narrow streets where you can hear the church bells from Place des Lices but you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds stumbling back from the port at 2 AM. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from all the action – the cafés, the market square where locals play pétanque in the early evening – but it feels like you’ve found this quiet pocket that most visitors never discover.

The apartment itself has that authentic Provençal charm without trying too hard, if that makes sense. None of that over-the-top “luxury” stuff you see in some Saint-Tropez places that charge triple the price. It’s clean, comfortable, and honestly, the 8.4 rating feels about right – maybe even a bit conservative. The kitchen is small but functional (perfect for making coffee and storing those incredible tomatoes from the Tuesday market), and the bedroom gets this lovely morning light that filters through the shutters. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even during the summer chaos. Saint-Tropez can get pretty intense in July and August, but this street somehow stays peaceful.

Here’s the thing about the location that locals know but guidebooks miss – you’re right between the old town charm and the practical stuff. Walk toward the port and you hit all the famous spots (though honestly, skip Café de Paris unless you enjoy paying €12 for a basic coffee). But head the other direction toward the cemetery and you’ll find this lovely walking path that gives you amazing views without the selfie sticks. The apartment is also close enough to Parking des Lices that you don’t have to drag your luggage through half the village – trust me, those cobblestones get old fast when you’re wheeling a suitcase. For three stars, it punches above its weight, especially considering you’re staying in the actual heart of Saint-Tropez rather than some resort complex outside town. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re living there, not just visiting.

  Location was very convenient to pretty much everything, including bus terminal.
  Apartment was well equipped, however it could do with an upgrade. I feel it was overpriced for what it was.
  
  What could be improved: The bed was placed at the dark end of the apartment, so no chance to get any fresh breeze during the night. The very loud street noise, especially on Saturday night, until about 5am left me without any sleep at all.

  The location and the space are great for two people, three is possible with a pullout couch in the living room. There are several apartments available. Parking du Port is a few walking minutes away.
  
  What could be improved: The kitchen does not have any cooking utensils like cooking spoons, spatula, colander, cutting knives, etc. The host is very lovely and would have probably organized some (we only made pasta on our last evening).
