Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Apartment Boulevard Louis Blanc-2 by Interhome,” I thought it sounded pretty corporate and sterile. But you know what? Sometimes the most awkwardly named places surprise you, and this little spot in Saint-Tropez actually did just that.
The apartment sits right on Boulevard Louis Blanc, which – if you know Saint-Tropez at all – puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to the old port (maybe 8-10 minutes if you don’t get distracted by the shop windows), but far enough from the absolute chaos that is Place des Lices during market days. I mean, don’t get me wrong, the Tuesday and Saturday markets are incredible, but the noise and crowds can be… a lot. From this spot, you get the authentic residential vibe that most tourists never see. There’s actually a small boulangerie just around the corner where locals grab their morning bread – no tour groups, just the smell of fresh croissants and rapid-fire French conversations.
What really won me over was how the place feels genuinely lived-in rather than hotel-sterile. The kitchen actually has proper pots and pans (shocking, I know, but you’d be amazed how many vacation rentals skimp on this), and there’s this tiny balcony where you can have your morning coffee while watching the town wake up. The rating of 8.5 makes sense – it’s not luxury, but it’s thoughtfully done. The Wi-Fi is solid, which honestly matters more than marble countertops when you’re trying to upload photos or figure out dinner reservations. One thing though – parking can be tricky during peak summer months. There’s street parking, but you’ll want to get back before evening when everyone’s heading out for dinner. The check-in process was smooth enough, though Interhome does everything digitally now, so don’t expect a warm welcome from a person at the door.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re on a residential street, so once the dinner crowd disperses (usually around 11 PM), it’s surprisingly peaceful for being in the heart of Saint-Tropez. During July and August, honestly, nowhere in Saint-Tropez is truly quiet – but this felt manageable. The apartment sleeps four comfortably, and I’d actually recommend it for couples or small families who want to experience the town like locals do, rather than being stuck in some resort bubble. You’ll grocery shop where residents shop, you’ll discover that little wine bar on Rue Gambetta that doesn’t even have a sign, and you’ll probably end up having better meals because you’re not trapped in the tourist restaurant circuit. For a 3-star place, it punches above its weight – just don’t expect concierge service or daily housekeeping.
