You know what struck me first about this place? It’s actually *on* Boulevard Louis Blanc, which sounds fancy but is honestly just a regular residential street – and that’s exactly why I loved it. Most people think they need to stay right in the port area when they visit Saint-Tropez, but this apartment gives you something way better: you’re living like a local in a proper French neighborhood, about a 15-minute walk from all the madness.
The building itself is nothing special from the outside – typical French apartment block, cream-colored walls, green shutters – but inside it’s been done up really nicely. Clean lines, decent-sized rooms (which is saying something for this part of France), and honestly the kitchen was better equipped than I expected. I mean, you’ve got everything you need if you want to grab some tomatoes and cheese from the morning market and actually cook instead of dropping €50 on lunch every day. The bathroom’s compact but functional, and there’s this little balcony where you can have your coffee and watch the neighbors walk their dogs. Very normal, very French, very relaxing after dealing with the summer crowds down by the harbor.
Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really explain – you’re close enough to walk everywhere, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night. Saint-Tropez in summer is basically one big party, and if you stay too close to the action, well, good luck getting any rest. From Boulevard Louis Blanc, you can stroll down to Place des Lices (where the locals play pétanque in the evenings) in about ten minutes, or head to the port in fifteen if you want to see the massive yachts and pay €8 for a coffee. But when you want to escape all that – and trust me, you will – you just walk back up the hill to your quiet street. There’s actually a little boulangerie two blocks over that makes incredible pain au chocolat, and the woman who runs it remembered my order by day three. Parking can be tricky around here (it’s France, what do you expect?), but there are spots if you’re patient, and honestly walking everywhere is half the charm anyway. The place gets a solid 8.6 rating and I get why – it’s not luxury, but it’s comfortable, well-located, and gives you that authentic French apartment experience without the tourist trap pricing of the flashier hotels down by the water.
