You know what struck me first about A&A by Time Off Collection? It’s tucked away on this tiny street called Traverse de la Gendarmerie that most tourists never even notice. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from Place des Lices where all the chaos happens – the markets, the pétanque games, the whole Saint-Tropez scene – but honestly, you’d never know it from how quiet this little corner feels.

The whole vibe here is sort of refreshingly un-flashy for Saint-Tropez, if that makes sense. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely polished (this is a 4-star place after all), but there’s something genuinely relaxed about it that I wasn’t expecting. The staff actually seem to know the town beyond just the obvious tourist spots – they pointed me toward this incredible little bakery on Rue Georges Clemenceau that I never would’ve found otherwise. Check-in was smooth, no pretentious attitude, which honestly can be hit-or-miss in this town depending on the season. The rooms have this clean, modern thing going on without trying too hard to be trendy. Good air conditioning too, which you’ll appreciate if you’re visiting during those sweltering July weeks when the mistral isn’t blowing.

What I really loved was the balance they’ve struck with location. You’re close enough to stumble back from the port after dinner (and trust me, you will stumble – the rosé flows freely here), but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with the noise from late-night revelers or the morning delivery trucks that wake up half the hotels in the old town. The street itself is actually pretty charming – there’s this mix of local residents and small boutiques that gives you a peek into what Saint-Tropez feels like when it’s not performing for tourists. Parking can be tricky like everywhere else in Saint-Tropez, but they’ll help you figure it out, and honestly, once you’re settled, you probably won’t need your car much anyway. The 8.9 rating makes sense to me – it’s the kind of place that does the fundamentals really well without any major surprises, good or bad. If you’re looking for over-the-top luxury or Instagram-worthy infinity pools, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a solid base for exploring Saint-Tropez that doesn’t break the bank or assault you with attitude, A&A gets it right.

  Lovely well appointed newly decorated apartment it had everything we needed and was in a great location. A Balcony would have made it even better! Owner/ manager was very accomodating to us. It also has a lift which is great when you have lots of bags like we did. Highly recommend!
